Well, what happens when machines are doing all the writing? I mean 5 years from now, will anyone even be writing anything anymore? Will there be any incentive to get better at writing?

And I notice that Google just announced they will be incorporating Gemini into search. So what happens when nobody goes anywhere on the internet anymore? Publishers make no money, have no incentive for creating content...

I don't understand the trajectory right now. It makes very little sense to me. Google makes a majority of it's money from Ads in various forms. It seems odd then that the company would stop sending traffic anywhere because of...A.I. which essentially undercuts everyone paying them money.

It's almost like a war for A.I. dominance. Google sees this as the future of search, but they haven't worked out monetization yet, that's what it looks like anyway.

But as far as teaching people how to get A.I. to write like them...I get it. I do. It's what's happening right now and it's what people want to know. But I'm just wondering where it leaves the REAL writers in 5 years when A.I. is good enough to actually imitate social nuance and emotional intelligence with really good accuracy.

I think maybe I might be becoming a "vegan" but for A.I. instead of meat. I liked it better when humans do the thinking and the writing. I like the idea of people having a purpose. Too many industries being affected by this right now.

I’ve been using the copilot dedicated app for fast access to GPT-4 for free. Works really well 😊
