We Need To Think Differently

why we need to explore different opportunities

We have a problem…

… well most of us anyways… we are the generation that had modems, explored BBS’s, saw the birth of the internet, the rise of AOL, Yahoo, Excite, and Ask Jeeves…

… and we saw the birth of the behemoth that became Google (do no evil).

Quite a lot of you also took part in the 30 Day Challenge that I joined in with way back in 2006.

… everyone feeling old now?

Me too…

The trouble is, the way we still think about building a business hasn’t really changed since then. We think Traffic x Conversion Rates = Profit.

The trouble is, none of us are willing to spend the thousands or tens of thousands of dollars to buy the traffic anymore...

… me neither.

And free traffic is almost non-existent, you still need to spend the time and the money to build out SEO…

Don’t get me wrong, all this still works.

But it really is work. I stopped doing consulting this year because I no longer wanted to see an AdWords dashboard or a Facebook account manager page ever again.

There are better and smarter ways to grind everyday.

If you are still willing to put in the work, then there are better ways to work.

I can’t imagine not working everyday. I would be bored.

But I needed to work on a project that was fun… A project that I wanted to get up for everyday.

… This is how The Challenge came about.

I wanted to build a new business, I wanted it to be fun and not something I dreaded getting up for… I wanted it to be different,

… I also wanted it to be challenging.

A new niche, a new skill, a new opportunity.

… and this is where we are right now...

The Challenge 2025

It starts on Sunday. For the next 30 days+ I am going to build a brand new business, I am going to document everything. But I want you to take part too.

This for me is a brand new niche that I have never been involved in before. I don’t know whether this is even going to work.

I think it will, but that is worth shit,

… but every single day I will give you a new angle on this, the opportunity, the numbers, everything. Sure, I haven’t tested any of these, but these are my best bets.

I am not promising anything here, I am no Tony Robbins with a slick presentation or multi-million dollar studio. I don’t have a five thousand dollar product to up-sell you on.

What you get is what you see, its just me, building a business, and sharing ideas.
