Google Gemini Advanced Gets Deep Research Ability

Google just dropped Deep Research for subscribers of Gemini Advanced AI. This is an agent based research assistant that will search the web for information based on your question and then compile a report.

I have previously talked about using Google NotebookLM to pull together PDFs and then being able to ask questions, which is useful if you already have all of the information but just need to interrogate it, this however is like having a team researching the topic for you, looking for websites, articles, PDFs and then compiling all of the information into a detailed report.
