I built an AI to summarize this months top AI news.

This article was created entirely by AI. It was researched by custom agents given access to the web and processed with GPT-4, it was written by Bard using a custom API wrapper, and finally edited by an in-house content editor AI with access to GPT-4.

All videos and images were automatically scraped, resized, and converted to MP4.

Finally, a human (me), gave it a once over and fixed some issues.

A lot has happened this month in the AI world and I thought I would put together an update on some of the key announcements.

Microsoft

Microsoft really threw its hat in the ring with some major announcements this month.

Windows Copilot

Microsoft Windows is now the first AI operating system. It can act as your personal assistant, provide live browsing features, chat with your folders, summarize and rewrite emails, and automate native features. This will massively help people to easily take action and get things done.

Developers will also be able to create their own plugins and integrate them with Windows Copilot.

Aurora genAI is a real competitor to OpenAI's ChatGPT and Meta's models. It is trained on a massive dataset of text, code, and scientific data, which allows it to generate text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way.

Aurora genAI is still under development, but it has the potential to revolutionize the way scientific research is done.

Anthropic

Anthropic are a direct competitor to OpenAI

Claude

Claude Now Supports 100K tokens text, which is equivalent to around 75,000 words. This means you can now submit hundreds of pages of materials for Claude to digest and analyze. Conversations with Claude can now go on for hours or even days.

Adobe

Adobe has now integrated generative AI capabilities into Photoshop! This means that you can now create, add to, remove, or replace images in Photoshop with simple text prompts. For example, you could say "add a cat to this image" or "remove the background from this image" and Photoshop will generate the desired result.

They also released the Generative Fill feature which looks amazing.

META

META is launching a new AI model that supports speech-to-text and text-to-speech for over 1,100+ languages. Existing speech models only cover approximately 100 languages — a fraction of the 7,000+ known languages spoken on the planet.

OpenAI

OpenAI has just released 86 ChatGPT Plugins to the public. These plugins allow you to use ChatGPT for a variety of tasks, including coding, web design, shopping, stocks, and more.

Here is a brief overview of some of the most popular ChatGPT Plugins:

• Coding: The coding plugins allow you to use ChatGPT to generate code, debug code, and learn new programming languages.

• Web design: The web design plugins allow you to use ChatGPT to design websites, generate CSS code, and find inspiration for new web designs.

• Shopping: The shopping plugins allow you to use ChatGPT to find products, compare prices, and make purchases.

• Stocks: The stocks plugins allow you to use ChatGPT to track stocks, get news about stocks, and make investment decisions.

These are just a few of the many ChatGPT Plugins that are available.

By default, you won’t see these. You need to:

• Click on the 3 dots at the bottom left.

• Go to Settings and then Beta features.

• Activate the Plugins feature.

BabyCatAGI

BabyCatAGI is a mod of BabyBeeAGI, which is a mod of the original BabyAGI. BabyCatAGI is 300 lines of code.

This was built as a continued iteration of the original BabyAGI code in a lightweight way. Differences from BabyAGI include the following:

• Task Creation Agent runs once

• Execution Agent loops through tasks

• Task dependencies for pulling relevant results

• Two tools: search_tool and text_completion

• “Mini-agent” as a tool

  • Search tool combines search, scrape, chunking, and extraction.

• Results combined to create summary_report
